Introduction

Part 1: Starting Out

The game can seem strange, especially if you've never played this type of game before. I will go over every aspect of the game and share my knowledge and experiences with you. The information I list was either gathered by me, someone I know in the game, or from Reddit and other external sources.

The first thing you will do is choose a Culture. This can be changed at any time, however, it is not free. Before you decide which Culture you want, decide what kind of account you're making: Offensive, Defensive, Balanced, Farm, and Monster Rallies.

* Offensive: These types of accounts focus entirely on offense, meaning they do not delve into the defensive aspects of the game, that much. They are primarily used to attack other players, and focus on Offensive Research and Troop Training.

* Defensive: Also known as a Trap City, they specialize in building Traps, Defensive Research, and Troop Training. A good trap will launch a small attack against another player, baiting other players to hit you without scouting. They are then caught by all of your Troops, and decimated.

* Balanced: You typically want to be balanced by the time you're level 25. If you chose to focus on one aspect until you reach max level, you would start balancing it out. However, some players prefer slow and steady growth, so that they are fully balanced the entire way up to 25.

* Farm: Used only as Resource Farms for your main city. You would typically have 2 Farm Accounts; one for Wood and Food, the other for Stone and Ore. For research, you would focus on Development, and you would only train troops for Gathering purposes. Always drain your farms, each day, so no one else does.

* Monster Rallies: These are similar to Offensive accounts, but are slightly different. Instead of attacking players, you will only attack Boss Monsters. You would train Archers and Horsemen, exclusively, and focus research on Offense and Development.

With that in mind, choose your Culture:

Europe: +10% Stone Productions, +5% Mounted Troop Attack, +5% March Speed to Monsters. Sub City gives +Production Speed in Main City.

China: +5% Troop Load, +5% Ground Troop Attack, +3% Research Speed. Sub City gives +Resource Production in Main City.

Japan: +10% Food Production, +5% Ground Troop Defense, +8% Crafting Speed. Sub City gives +Attack to Marching Troops.

America: +5% Gold Levy, +5% Siege Attack, +3% Training Speed. Sub City gives +Gold Production.

Russia: +10% Ore Production, +5% Mounted Troop Defense, +10% Trap Building Speed. Sub City gives +Troop Defense in Main City.

Arabia: +5% Gems Gathering Speed, +Mounted Troop HP, +5% Bonus from Offering. Sub City give +Hospital Capacity.

Korea: +10% Lumber Production, +5% Ranged Troop Attack, +5% Healing Speed. Sub City gives +Warehouse Protection.

Each Culture is great, and any can be chosen. If you're trying for an Offensive Account, think about the type of troops you want to use, and choose a Culture that benefits that troop type. Overall, there is no bad Culture.

After you've chosen the Culture, the tutorial will begin, and you'll get to familiarize yourself with how the game looks and feels.
